There is no better feeling than looking at the infinite distance stars at night, hearing different sounds of animals, having a good dream from the experience you had while on a game drive, and waking up in the morning while hearing the beautiful sounds of birds.
This Camp is strategically built in the middle of nature and close to the park’s border to ensure that every guest gets an unforgettable experience. Since Nyerere National Park is not fenced it allows animals to pass freely and sometimes pass through the Camp. By staying here, the good feelings of Safari are lingering in your mind and soothe your heart.

Getting There
Arrive by air on the scheduled charter flight from Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, or Ruaha – it is also
possible to privately charter a single or twin-engine plane into the Mtemere airstrip depending on
the size of your party. The airstrip is located within a minute’s drive from our camp.
The direct flying time is approximately 45 minutes from Dar es Salaam and 30 minutes from
Zanzibar. By road 235 km from Dar es Salaam, via Kibiti. Driving time: 5-6 hours depending on
road conditions.
Transportation
The nearest Airstrip from Nyerere Tented Camp is Selous Mtemere Airstrip. Daily flights from Zanzibar take approximately 30 minutes in a light aircraft. It is also possible to privately charter a single or twin-engine plane depending on the size of your party. We are able to assist with the booking of the flights.
Car Rental Service
We have our own onsite safari vehicles for rent with the experienced safari tour guides/drivers. Our 4x4 safari vehicles come with pop-up roof hatches or open sides, a fridge, and charging sockets.
